A good place to meet friends and talk to some pretty girls
My friend and I stopped by “The Church” on Thursday night about 9:00. It was $20 each for cover, and then $19 plus tip for two beers. Supposedly there was a two drink minimum, but we never got the second round. Dancers were dancing on three stages in series, so each stage run was six songs for the dancer. Early on a Thursday there were probably about 35 girls working and maybe 40 customers. Most of the dancers looked to be in their 20’s or early 30’s. Some moms but lots of young pretty dancers. My friend commented that he had never seen so many white girls at the Church, but I have not been to the place in years, and back then there were certainly not so many Cubanas. The girls were probably 1/2 Latina, 1/3 Anglo, and the rest black—although my estimates could be wrong due to some very light-skinned Cubanas. Most of the girls were probably 7’s with a few 8’s and 6’s. Maybe a bit more than half the girls had clear implants, but they generally looked pretty good. It was also very noticeable to me that there were not as many prominent tattoos among the dancers. I have not been to enough clubs in Houston to say if that is a Houston thing or is particular to the church.
My friend and I had several girls talk with us and honestly, they seemed like pretty nice girls. I could actually have a conversation with them. Whereas in some of the clubs I visit, the dancers either can’t speak English well enough (and my Spanish is not good enough) or the girls seem too dumb to talk to. If you like to go to a club and have a conversation with a beautiful young woman, this is pretty good club for that. Also, a nice (if expensive) place to hang out with your friends.
I did get a dance from a couple of the dancers. Dances were in a simi-private cubical where you sit in one chair, and the girl “closes” the door by shoving the other chair into the doorway. Both were pretty good dances with reasonable two-way touching, but no stick shifting. Still $20/dance even 25 years after I first visited this place. The problem I had was that the chairs the customer sits in had armrests which prevented the dancer from straddling me, and that really reduced the quality of the dances. Both my dances were in the booths at the back right (when entering) of the lower level. Maybe some of the other dance locations would be better?
