Oldie... But Always A Goodie!
One of my go-to spots whenever I'm in Houston for work, and two Friday nights ago it was no different. I stopped in a little after 10pm; cover on weekend evenings/weekend late-nights is typically $15-20 at the door. If the tall American blonde (Khloe/Chloe) with a colored chest piece is working the register, I highly recommend you tip her $5-$10, because she will undoubtedly remember you on your next visit and comp your cover.
Once you make your way past the register, it is a short hallway that will curve to the left, and continuing forward it opens up into the club. Prior to that, on the left, there is an ATM (unsure on the ridiculous fee as I have never used it here), along with a restroom that is extremely hit-or-miss on cleanliness. However, the bathroom attendants here have one of the widest selections of cologne, cigarettes, cigars, gum, and any other party favors you may be seeking, that I have ever seen in a club.
The club itself is quite big, with at least 60+ dancers there on the weekends, along with another 20+ waitresses, 7+ bartenders, and 5+ floor managers. It's typically (surprisingly) clean, with semi-bright lighting (for a club), and extremely loud music. This isn't a "make it rain" club, but it definitely has a little bit of a party vibe. So if you're looking to genuinely relax, it's best to go elsewhere. When you make it out of the aforementioned hallway, on your left will be a large bar with a standard U-ish shape set-up. If no specials are in effect, expect to pay (depending on your drink/brand preference) $7-$10 for shots and mixed drinks, and $5.50 to $7 for beers. Next to this bar, there is a tiny stage that the dancers rotate through, as there is an 8-song, 8-stage rotation in this club. There are also several low-top tables in this area, with relatively comfy typical pleather armchairs. Moving away from this area and making your way deeper into the club, expect to be approached and grabbed almost non-stop by practically any dancer that is not currently occupied. The vast majority are Cubanas, with a few other Latin nationalities sprinkled in. They range in size and shape, as well as in their complexion and the amount of tattoos; looks range from 3s to solid 8s, but you will occasionally see a few rare true 9s (10s are non-existent here in my experience). The majority of the dancers aren't too pushy, but again recall that this is a Cubana-heavy club, so expect at least a few to be highly aggressive. Again, I can't stress this enough: this is not an American, Urban, Country, etc. club with a Latin name. No, it's a Latin club, with Latina dancers, predominantly blue-collar Latino customers, and 99% Latin music (almost entirely reggaeton). So if saying "no" is difficult for you, or the Latin-vibe isn't your flavor, this is definitely a hard pass.
