This is a vintage place (Queen City etc..) that I’ve become familiar with in the past couple of months. As Wax, Ace of Clubs (Babes), and Pinups have lost traction, I’m on a quest to find a new “$5 a song club” for the Fall season.

Good: It is a small club with a bar towards the back and two mini stages in the middle. There is a sitting area with a TV and pool table, and a bunch of low seating all around the club. The VIPs have mini couches w/TV’s and curtains. These rooms are elevated and are on the right side and back of the club. You can view the main floor from the VIP areas. There is NO cover and FREE parking, which is great. The liquor drinks are high, but beers are at a good price.

Not so good: The bar chairs are terrible. There are two or three restaurant quality chairs, two or three uneven bar stools, and I might of saw a barbershop chair one night. This can be important towards the end if it gets busy. You don’t want to be in a chair that shoots down like a broken elevator when you’re getting a dance or two. VIP pricing can be confusing. $150 for the room is what I was told, but one dancer told me $8 a song and another said $15 a song. Which is both bizarre pricing. The one time I did go to the VIP, the curtains were drawn back and it just didn’t make sense to even go back there. The TV was cracked and broken in that particular VIP area as well.
