It gets a three because it was clean and new.

I'd never been to the old Slipper, but decided to check the new one out briefly rather than visiting Centerfolds on this night. It seemed like I'd missed a Boston institution in not seeing the old one, but the new place is just wierd.

They've tried to make it look up-market with the decor, etc. Dark wood panelling, cozy booths along one wall, a long bar along the other wall (very narrow room), the bar finished with fake granite counter-top, comfortable bar stools. Only $10 cover. So far, so good.
