Visited: Saturday Afternoon

I was driving through the northeast part of the East Coast to go see an old high school friend on a Saturday afternoon, and my route took me relatively close to two clubs I wanted to check out: Mickey’s Gentlemen’s Club and Boardroom Cabaret. The only problem was that I was kind of stuck visiting about an hour after each of them opened, so the pickings were slim. Keep my unfortunate timing in mind when you read this review.

I had never been to the Boardroom Cabaret. I arrived about 3:50 (they open at 3:00). Plenty of free parking in a big strip mall lot, no cover before 7:00, no security or ID check.

The main room was darkly lit, so it took a little time for my eyes to adjust. It’s big and cavernous, the open room rising two stories. There are huge mirrors on all the walls, so not only does it look bigger than it is, it’s also a little disorienting. (I’m a simple man, and I like simple things.)
