Average value for the Block—1st review in 2.5 years

First stop of the night, 9 pm.

POSITIVE: No cover charge for 9--10 on Friday night. I considered coming back at 10 Monday night but there was a $10 cover charge, which deterred me. The attention I got at barside seemed decent for most Block clubs.

NEGATIVE: Loud music, fewer girls, some smoking.

LAYOUT: Club is long and narrow. There is a long bar with the stage behind it, up against a wall. The interior has mirrors and TVs. Toward the rear is a couch alcove for private dances, which I didn’t see being used, plus the rest rooms. On the second floor, there are chairs and a table; I didn’t see any dancers up there so went back downstairs. Music is from a juke box and it was loud. Lighting level was medium.
