Neighborhood Bikini Bar

Work had me spending some time in Jacksonville recently, so decided to take in the club scene there. The oddity here is clubs can either serve alcohol or be full nude, but not both. I started out at Wackos on a Sunday afternoon. Paid the $10 cover and got a seat at the bar in the middle of the club. There is the main stage to your right as you enter the club with tables on either side. Then there is a long open bar in the center of the club with a mini stage at the far end. Finally, on the far left of the club is an octagonal stage in the middle of several more tables that sits in front of the dance booths entrance.

I was happy to see around 20 dancers on a Sunday afternoon along with around 40 customers. Most of the dancers were in the 5-6 range with a couple of 7’s and only a couple were enhanced. There was a decent mix of Cuban and all American ladies. Wackos serves alcohol, so it was strange to me to see what was a pretty well laid out club with NO nudity. Plenty of skimpy outfits and bikinis, but they stayed on.

I got $4 Red Bull and took in the scene. I noticed that not many people were going back to the lap dance area. You can actually see through the VIP entrance to some of the booths along the back wall. Some dancers seemed to spend a lot of time sitting with regulars (I’m assuming). I was approached by a cute Cuban. After some broken English chit chat, I decided it might be worth a $30 dance just to check out the lap dance area. We checked in with the bouncer at the entrance of the VIP area and headed to the corner booth on the far left inside the entrance. I can see why these corner booths are prized as they are the most private with no view from the outside. The problem is they are incredibly dark. If I’m paying to get a dance, I’d like to at least see what I’m paying for. My Cubanista waited until the next song started and quickly began giving a decent mileage dance, but with the limited visibility, I was disappointed. Then she offered a couple of options to upgrade. Now I understood why the lighting was sooo low. These booths are open, so in order to get away any extra curriculas, you’d need to be a little discreet and take advantage of the booths with limited lighting. I wasn’t ready to pull the trigger on anything yet. Plus, if I did, I’d at least like to enjoy the view. Two songs were enough for me and we headed back out.
