The review from Joe from NJ hits the nail on the head. The old Tootsie's was one of a kind. Like all great cultural icons, it blossomed organically. Starting with the extensive use of spaghetti tied neon lights from the neon light store adjacent to the club to the great staff and collection of dancers. For a strip club, staff/dancer turnover was very low. It had it all. It was clean and comfortable, yet never imposing. Great relaxed atmosphere. Top quality dancers. Great dances. Reasonable prices. The new Tootsie's is a club any one with enough money could replicate anywhere. If I go, I always sit in the area that serves as the shrine to the old Tootsie's (with the neon lights from the Old Tootsie's). Tootsie's may be gone but she will never be forgotten.
