Slow Monday afternoon, but still fun

Found myself in Seattle for a couple of days. Based on the excellent advice here on TUSCL I planned to go to Kittens on Monday afternoon and Pandora on Tuesday afternoon. Alas, I never made it to Pandora so Kittens was my only Seattle experience.

From downtown my drive was fairly quick maybe 20 minutes, although I did get stuck with some train traffic. Kittens is on a busy road but plenty of discrete parking in the back which is also where you enter. I had read other review about how dark it was, but I still wasn't prepared. I went in from a bright sunny Seattle sky and it is actually really hard to even see inside to walk. Made my way to the entry desk where I gave $20 (at least I hope it was $20) to a very pleasant island woman who took my drink order. She bought back my drink and I think about $4 in change, not sure. So $16 to get in and get a drink. I didn't get any other drinks the rest of the trip so can't comment on drink prices. There is absolutely no push to "but the lady a drink" or buy drinks like you see at other clubs.

For a Monday afternoon, there were plenty of lovely women but unfortunately very few customers. When I walked in I think there was one guy getting dance and then there was me. Which meant, of course, that I was instantly attacked by all of the dancers wanting to get to know me and get a dance. They were all pleasant enough, but it got a bit annoying. After going through the 8-9 dancers asking them to come back later, I was finally able to relax a bit, enjoy my soda, and let my eyes slowly adjust to the very dark room. Only one of the dancers I talked was really pushing extras during the table side chats.
