Another enjoyable Friday night at the Gold Club
I've described the club in previous reviews, but I will provide some more details and information for those who are unfamiliar with the club. It is a big, spacious, upscale club. The main room has one long runway type stage with maybe 30 foot poles stretching to the high ceiling that the more athletic dancers sometimes take full advantage of; there is a full bar at each end of the maybe 150 foot long stage. At one end near one of the bars is a big champagne glass that dancers occasionally use as part of their show. The main lap dance area is semi-private and on one side of the building; you can't see what goes on there from the main room, but everybody in the lap dance area can see everybody else – though it is dimly lit, so you would have to squint. Overall, I think it's one of the better arrangements for lap dances I've seen. Lap dances are $30 and "private rooms" are also available for several hundred dollars (forget the exact price). I've tried private rooms in the past and found them to be not very private – a waitress usually interrupts things every few minutes or so. In the main lap dance area there is usually no monitor or waitress interrupting things. (Pre-pandemic there would sometimes be a bouncer at the entrance to the lap dance area who would sometimes make half-hearted attempts to control things (e.g. tell customers not to touch the dancers); but I haven't seen that post-pandemic. In my experience, management here is usually customer-friendly.)
I went on a Friday and was there from 6 PM to around midnight. There was no cover when I entered, but I believe they charge a $10 cover after 7 PM. Beers were five dollars until 10 PM; I think nine dollars after that.
This place is still not as busy as it was before the pandemic, but still my favorite club in the Baltimore area. Pre-pandemic, you might have trouble finding a seat at the stage or the bars on a Friday night; no such trouble these days. These days, I usually find 3 to 4 dancers I want to have dances with – though pre-pandemic there would be maybe 10 dancers. But 3 to 4 is usually enough for me to have a good time and is also easier on the budget. They usually have several hot dancers in the 8-10 range, but also a few dancers who are decidedly obese – not sure why these are hired, but I guess some guys must like them. Dancers are various races, white, Latina, and usually several African-American dancers.
