It's been a hot minute since I've gone to my preferred Des Moines club and I was bored Thursday evening so I grabbed some coors at a nearby gas station and dropped by about 730 pm (about 30 mins after open). Place is BYOB and that early in the evening Cover was 10$. The place was pretty dead having recently opened with just one other PL and 2 dancers. No show going on the stage but the dancers were playing pool so I cracked open a beer and relaxed between watching them bend over and miss shots and watching playoff hockey and NBA. There are 2 to 3 pool tables in the back and flat screens all along the walls surrounding the club. About 8pm the DJ announces the girls will begin the stage show. 4 song sets per girl with a 3 song break in between a full rotation. The show was ok with Angela (Asian with a 7-8 body) being the better performer. She did a cool pole climb which ended with her upside down and both feet flat on the ceiling. The other dancer (a white 6) did a decent job. All the dancers do a brief "cop a feel" when you tip them on stage which is either a boobies or ass to your face or something similar. The energy level was low and the girls seemed more interested in entertaining each other than the customers. As the evening drew on more girls trickled in (probably about 7 to 9 total). Body types are mostly thin athletic with ranging 6 to 8. (The 6 was more on the chunky side for a dancer) Mostly white girls with 1 or 2 asians. Almost all had tatoos on some portion of thier bodies. Dj played music which included rock, pop and top 40 RB.There is virtually no hustle factor at the club with the girls either talking to thier regulars or they sit at a side bar. If you want a dance you are gonna have to go talk to them or mention it while they are on stage. It's not a trait I care for, but it's been the normal almost every time I go there. I requested a lap dance from Angela (cost is 30 for topless nude is 40 + wristband) I went for just topless as I wanted to try things out before I spend more. We did a 2 song set with a decent dance but nothing inspiring. More of like a pro going through the motions. I stopped at 2 songs and went back to watch the stage show. Wasn't going to spend more at $30 + per song. I left about 10 pm. Place had gotten a bit more busy with both more customers and dancers (maybe 10 of each) but I had work in the morning. Was not too exciting of a night but it was a good evening to see eye candy, touch some boobies, and watch playoff sports.
