If a girl in a club is glued to a phone, does she even make any money?
Saw this place finally closed from Covid when it started and surprised to see it back under it's new name, which is a previous name. Is 10 years too long to hold a grudge? I thought, no, because I'm game for some fun further south if there is fun to be had, so stopped in to see what what's up.
Arrived on a Sunday at 11pm, Jan 29. Street view was well lit, can't miss that it's open. Traveling Northbound on US1 you turn in right after the building. Parking lot also well lit, maybe 2/3 to 3/4 full. Stopped at the desk outside that wanted $10 cover and a pat down. I remember the place being a dump but not real clearly, so I'll describe how it is today. There's a bar that extends on the left from the entrance, forms a U, and keeps going to the distant left wall. In the far distance was a wall with what looks like a long restaurant booth bench, extending along that wall to the DJ booth. There were two dance poles splitting up the room and I couldn't tell where the stage was until I got closer. It's a good 20 feet long and maybe 5 feet wide, 3 feet high or so. No railing of any kind. This stage pointed towards another, more traditional stage on the far left: circular, one pole, and a very plush looking sofa, presumably for the high rollers they might want to come in. Some traditional tables between the bar and the stage, and the stage and the back benches. Walls painted white with some wavy texture on it, not too shabby looking. The ceiling felt low, and they had a lighting and speaker rig up there. Tall guys aren't going to bump their heads or anything like that but the audio setup is too big for the space (and the DJ abused it accordingly, way too loud). A few tiled TVs behind the bar that weren't really lined up correctly, and a few TVs to the side near the DJ booth and a podium. Beyond the podium is what I'm guessing the entry to where lappies take place. No mirrors in the place.
Now that I've painted a picture: entered and there wasn't much seating. The bar is way too big and the bar stools don't rotate. No one was on stage. I sat down at a table for a bit before I realized no one was waiting tables and moved to the bar. Ordered a cocktail, non-called, $10. I've paid worse. The bar stools don't rotate, so this plus the lack of mirrors means you're going to have to be picky about where you sit. But that's on the condition that someone is dancing.
