Troubling But Not Surprising

As we all know, these clubs/bars are very hit or miss (unfortunately, the latter much more so than the former these days) and on a Thursday in early February I completely struck out at all 4 places I visited, 2 others (Bourbon Street and Delilah's) I also reviewed. After having left the aforementioned two bars and Fantasies completely unfulfilled, I stopped off at what used to be the most reliable place back in the day and which had been quite good the last two times I went, but my bad luck on this day would continue.

I learned from occasionally calling the hotline that there were some new girls who had just started working at GGR so I was interested in seeing what they were all about, but naturally none of them were part of the lineup on this day. Incidentally, if anyone has any intel about Amber, Brandi or Nicole, please feel free to share. Of the approximately dozen women working, the only one who interested me at all for a private dance was Lucy, but I would ultimately end up passing on her as well for reasons I will soon specify. Most of the girls were in the 5-7 range in my opinion, with the exception of Klaudia whom I find to be completely hideous. Of course it figures that she approached me and told me how good I looked and that she wanted to have fun with me in the VIP area, just like she did the last time I saw her, which did nothing for me except to possibly make me throw up in my mouth. The only other girl who made the rounds to where I was sitting was Dream who certainly wasn't a nightmare, but also didn't really inspire me to get a private dance. So I ended up leaving the place after about 2 1/2 hours only spending $20 on the cover charge and $7 for a lemonade and $2 tip for the bartender. Obviously extremely uncommon for this type of environment, but my main goal here was not to walk out with a full wallet. Unfortunately, circumstances surrounding this visit led to this undesired final outcome.

It certainly is not unusual these days to be unimpressed by the selection of girls at an establishment such as this, but my dissatisfaction extends beyond the lack of hot babes. For the majority of the time that I was there, many of the girls were sitting at the bar with their faces constantly buried in their phones. On a couple of occasions, I even saw a girl take an empty seat right next to a customer and then proceed to completely ignore him. Are we supposed to come up with some terribly witty opening line to attract their attention? Are they all so independently wealthy that they don't need to make any money and are only there to do research for some type of sociological experiment? I don't get what message they are trying to send, but it is rather off-putting. Reading the body language of some of the other guys who were there, most of them didn't look all that happy either. This same occurrence has been mentioned by other reviewers and at other clubs, but this was the most appalling example of this behavior I have ever witnessed myself.
