Not sure it's worth stopping by
Gold Club is tucked away in the back of an industrial area. It may feel a little sketchy driving to it, but I’ve never had any issues. With Pompano’s big three clubs ( DDs, Booby Trap and Cheetah) there are certainly better options in the area. However, I occasionally stop by Gold Club hoping to have a good time but, more often than not wind up leaving for one of the neighboring clubs.
There are some things I like about GC. First, it’s much more laid back than the others. It may not look like much from the outside, but the interior is fairly nice. Music is played at a reasonable level and you can have an actual conversation. Many of the dancers are willing to hang out and talk for a bit before pushing for anything else. And if you do happen to find a dancer you hit it off with, the lap dance rooms are much nicer than any of the other area clubs. The problem has always been finding a dancer you’d want to do something with.
Arrived Thursday evening around 10:00. Cover was $10 (no cover before 7:00pm). You walk into the club and the bathrooms are to the left and the rest of the club is to the right. As you enter there is a long bar on the right, across from a 2 pole stage. Behind the stage are some raised booths. Beyond the bar and stage are around 15 tables with three chairs each. Past that is another stage. After the second stage they have opened up a new second bar. Behind that are the VIP booths. I think my Red Bull was $6 and shots were $12 or $14 depending on the bartender (or it may have been whether they were for me or a dancer).
