Not great, but not bad; felt like it had potential to be better a different night

The Pony was about a fifteen minute drive from downtown. It had a large, free parking lot that wrapped around the back of the club. The nearer side parking was mostly full whenI arrived, but the back was nearly empty. There was no one taking any cover, checking ids, or anything at the front, so I Just walked in. I was never asked to pay for a wrist band for dances, though I some some patrons wearing them.

The inside of the club was dark, the darkest of the Indianapolis clubs I visited this trip. I had to be careful of my footing until my eyes adjusted. There's one main stage on the end of the room with a collection of round tables and decent armless chairs on the floor. There was a smaller secondary stage across the room from the main one. One side had a slightly elevated part of the room to the side which I think was some sort of VIP seating. The other side had a rectangular bar with stool seating all around.

There were lots of people present, enough that it was challenging to find an open seat. Many, if not most, of the tables had buckets of beer bottles. It felt like there must be some special on them, but I never inquired about the price. A bottle of water was $4. The crowd was more latino and black compared to the mostly-white Red Garter and Brad's.
