Wasting Time on a Thursday Evening

I had about an hour to kill at 5:30pm on a Thursday before going to a movie, so I stopped into Envy since it was close and it had been a few years since I'd been there.

Upon opening the obnoxiously squeaky front door, you enter into a foyer area facing the door girl's cash register. Since it was early in the day, there was no one there and no cover so I continued to the left and into the club.

The main area of the club is spacious and clean. Upon entering, the wall to your left contains the entrance to the VIP area and the club opens up to your left. The bar is a fairly large rectangular area located near the back wall. Opposite the bar on the front wall is a small stage with a single pole and the DJ booth to the left of the stage. Between the bar and the stage are a few low tables and chairs. Lighting was pretty bright for a club and the music was at a volume that didn't require you to scream when having a conversation.
