Maybe Tootsie's in not Dead !

If you are in Miami, you have to visit Tootsie's. It is a site to behold. Not the greatest area of town. But the parking lot is huge and it is patrolled very well. It's in Miami Gardens which is in the northern part of Miami. Not quite up to Ft Lauderdale. I have been told the building used to be a Costco Distribution Center. It may be the largest strip in the country. I know I have never been in one this large and I've been in a lot.

I get there about 2pm and the parking lot has a lot of cars. To keep out some of the hood crowd, they have implemented some dress code rules recently. I had to change my shoes. No sandals. They want shoes that don't show your toes for some reason. Not sure what other rules are in place now. You initially walk into the main stage area. The main stage is large with two poles going to the ceiling. And this part of the club is two stories so it gives the appearance of a large theater. There will be one girl on top of the stage, then two or three girls around that main stage dancing for tips. If you like stage shows, Tootsies is probably the best in the land.

Just off this area is another bar that is a little quieter. You can sit at this bar or there are some tables around this area. You can see the stage but the party is not quite as wild over there. Then if you go just past that point is a sports bar with pool tables and big screen TVs. This would be a great place to watch the super bowl. Then back close to the main stage area, you can go upstairs to what they call the Next Level. At night, it costs extra to go up there. During the day, it did not. I did not pay a cover charge for my afternoon visit. I think the cost to get to the main area at night is $8, then another $20 to get to the Next Level. The best girls hang out at the Next Level.
