Two adequate afternoons at XTC

I have visited Austin at least once a year annually since 2009. Though Austin has about nine strip clubs, in recent years I have confined myself to only three of them: Landing Strip, Divas, and XTC. In their rather different ways they consistently provide the kind of experience I'm looking for. On my trip to Austin last month I visited XTC Cabaret on two Saturday afternoons; this review is based on both of them.

I always go to XTC on either Saturday or Sunday afternoon and free parking on the right side of the building (as you look at it from the main road) is almost always available. However, on one of my two Saturday visits this time I had to park in the lot to the left of the building at a cost of $7.

Cover is pricy at $15. In addition, if you want to partake of lap dances in the VIP room, you have to shell out another $25. So they're into you for $40 before you ever sit down! On the other hand, it's a BYOB club, so I always buy a tall can or two (or even a sixpack) of cerveza at a convenience store on my way to the club, so drinking expenses are minimal. For about $6 the waitress will set you up with a bucket of ice.
