back to the friendly neighborhood bar.

This is the first time I’ve been there in almost a year. I had some free time and I was in the area so I thought I’d check out what an early Saturday looked like. A few years ago I would visit every couple of months in the late afternoon. It opens every day at noon (1pm on Sundays) and closes at 4am. I got there at 12:30. It was empty except for the manager who was getting the bar ready. I got a beer for $6. A few minutes later the cute personable barmaid showed up and then an exotic looking dancer showed up who asked to sit with me and I got her a drink ($17 I think). So I got another beer and talked to the two girls for an hour. A regular customer showed up and then 2 new dancers showed up for work as I was getting ready to leave. I need to come back later the next time because one of them was very attractive, and that was before getting duded up in the dressing room. According to the people there it gets much busier later in the day. Since the pandemic seems to be winding down, there were no precautions evident.

This is a nice neighborhood club. The main big room is mostly the bar with a stage in the middle. Customers sit on bar stools on three sides, the stage ends on the back wall. The wall on the right has several couch booths that are closed off by curtains, but private dances are video-monitored so if you grab the girl with your hands you will probably get a visit from the bouncer. On the opposite side is a couch room that nobody ever seems to use. There is another section back there for private dances. In the back is a small kitchen for bar-style food. The rest room was clean but nothing fancy.

In active hours one or two dancers would be on stage for two dances. Then they would get off stage and circle the bar to collect their tips. I can’t really comment on the quality or characteristics of the girls because the sample size was too small, but if the three I saw were any indication I look forward to coming back soon. And since I didn’t see any dancing today I can’t comment on pricing or quality, but in the past the price was well worth it and I always had a good time.
