I wish the owner well, but how long will the doors remain open?
I recently received a message from a dancer I have had some fun times at another club, letting me know she is back dancing at 82nd Strip, along with her schedule. I had yet to visit this new club until this last Thursday afternoon, right after it opened at noon. I am not sure what goes through a strip club owner’s mind when they have an idea for a club, but I will be surprised if the doors remain open for long. I wish them the best though. Here is my observation.
This is a small rectangular building. You enter from the back, and the bar takes up about 80% of the length of the back, with at least 12 high chairs. There are two tall long tables that have 8 chairs each. There are a half dozen small tables with 2 chairs each. There are at least 10 chairs around the rack. Also, 6 lotto machines, 2 lap dance booths, 2 bathrooms, and a changing room for the dancers, all crammed into this small club. I say this because, at most, there are 16 parking spots behind this building and just a sidewalk between 82nd and the building. You have to turn on a residential street, which homeowners are parking on the street, to reach the parking lot. Oh yeah, two of those spots could be better used for a used car lot to place their four-wheel drive vehicles, with the assault laid over these two mounds. If there is a bartender and 3 dancers, all driving themselves, 25% of the parking lot is already full. Why clutter and cram all the furniture when there is no possible why it can get used at any one time, even if all the patrons carpooled. It is well lit inside and not sure if that is the best lighting to set the mood for a strip club.
Another major issue, the rack (stage). They made a pit with digging out a couple feet of dirt from the original floor (maybe they used the crawl space), put a stage, and added a pole. The height of the rail is normal and the top is probably a foot wide. There is enough width on the top that a dancer can lay horizontal and display her best assets. The club did put a step in the pit so the dancer can get up on the rail. With a tall dancer, her breasts are about eye height when sitting at the rack. If she is short, just her shoulders are above the rail. If you sit back in the chair and with the width of the rail, if the dancer is doing moves on the floor, you are looking over the rail to figure out where she went. They did put a large mirror on the back of the wall. If you have been to a stadium with bad seats and you caught yourself watching the jumbotron instead of the players on the field, well you get my point with the mirror. If they would not have dug out the floor and just added a stage on the original floor, they probably couldn’t hire a dancer above 5’6” before heels. Either way, has the owner ever sat at a rack?
