Still waiting for talent
I have always thought of the Cricket as a nice in-between bar. It is closer to being a high-end club than a dive bar. Parking in a private lot is always free and there is no coverage during the days. No guards are on duty and I don't believe there are any cameras. Drinks are in the 6 to 7 dollar range like most of the clubs around the Detroit area. The VIP always costs $10 to get in with a wristband. The cubicles are rather spacious and the curtain is thick like rubber. I used to be able to find a diamond in the rough on most days. The last few visits have been a waste of my time. Just like some of the dive bars in the area they must be having trouble getting talent. They might not have someone's grandmother dancing (like some other clubs in the area )but they do have a bunch of unattractive fat dancers. On my last trip, I was fortunate enough to have one of those fat unattractive dancers come to sit on my lap. Add the fact that she was shit-faced drunk and you have a recipe to finish your drink and get the hell out of there. I had to really push to get rid of her and generally I try to be discreet in my rejection but I just had to tell her to leave because I didn't want her there.
I'm hoping this is a temporary situation and as unemployment starts to run out better-looking girls will come. If I just want to watch the game this bar is nice enough but, as with most of us, it's nice to have a decent-looking female to play with. Maybe it's because I'm a day tripper and the nighttime might be better but I plan to space out my visits with the hope of better things to come as more girls need to pay for Christmas gifts. Though I haven't partaken in the last few visits the Mileage is generally very good here in the $120-$200 range.
