At Least They're Open
I thought I'd venture out to see how HL is post-Covid, and like the other reviews mention - it's not at all what it was. I'll skip the club details except to say that afternoons have always been my favorite time. Not only is there no cover, but the dancers seem more laid back and there is not the "Vegas" feel to the club like at night (used to be.)
Upon entering, there were plenty of tables available even though some are closed due to the pandemic. But the upside is that you're not squeezed with guys all around you like before. I guess that's the payoff - more room, but less dance. As the other reviews have mentioned, masks are required when away from your table in the club. But at your table if you're having a drink (yes, 2 for 1 specials are still on during the afternoon) you can take your mask off. All the dancers were wearing masks.
After chilling for about an hour, I didn't see any dancers that I wanted to pay to do a 2 step in front of me, so I decided to pack it up and try another time. I've read on other reviews that the VIP has been open at times. It was closed for me. All in all, there's not much that can be said except the dancers and staff are just trying to survive. The pandemic rules have made it impossible for dances on the floor to be anything like they were. But my understanding is VIP, when its open, is different. Next time I'm there if VIP is open, I plan to check it out and will update.
