So after getting a notice from a dancer who worked at my favorite place (Follies) I decided to give this place a try. It is not and probably never will be Follies, but it was not a bad pit stop until Follies opens. However it is very uneven.
The layout is a long rectangle with the VIP rooms at the end of the club and a couple of stages in the middle. There are open booths on each side of the stages and some high top chairs before and after the stages. Two bars one in the front and one in the back.
The thrill is not there like Follies and the lighting is kind of bright. Irronically, I was told that the VIP rooms are pitch dark so you literally will not be able to see anything. That can be good or bad. Drinks seemed a bit over inflated but I understand in these "Covid times" the bar has to make back money it has lost for the last few months. I saw one of the floor managers from Follies and he recognized me and thanked me for coming. I REALLY hope Follies opens in September as the rumor has it will but in the meantime I may return hear and Platinum. Not the same experience though. Far from it.
