Shakers Opening Status

Disclaimer....I did not visit the "New Shakers" (aka Club Shakers) but wanted to update everyone on the opening status (here in eastern Iowa). Some background information....In Iowa restaurants could re-open at half capacity on May 1st in most rural counties, and mid-month for the rest of the state. Bars could re-open on May 28th, casino's at end of the month. Public entertainment venues with live entertainment have to remain closed in June 18th or so. Thus everyone thought the strip-clubs could open on May 28th and Club Shakers in-fact did open on Thursday and Friday before it was shut-down by (I believe) the sheriff later Friday night. They had received complaints from some folks (probably rival clubs LOL).

While they were open they had quite a crew of dancers apparently as many Quad City based dancers made the trek north to La Motte (small country town just south of Dubuque). What I heard from a dancer is that the club was VERY clean and nice. Private dances where $25 each. Sadly it didn't last long and they will now need to wait till late June to re-open.
