Impression of Visions Saturday night

The building is at 3554 E. Washington, on the north side of the street across from AutoZone. The white building has a good-sized parking lot in front of it.

I arrived at the 6:00 opening. Admission is free from 6-8, and $8 after that. The space is moderate-sized. To the left as you enter is a semi-circle shaped bar, and to the right is the stage. It's fairly dark inside with black walls and ceiling. Some pulsating colored lights are on but not overwhelming. There is one large, branching stage with 2 poles. Plenty of chairs allow you to sit up close, and there are tables around the periphery. Some video gambling machines are in the back, plus an ATM. Restrooms are behind the bar, and are adequate with ice in the urinals and soap for the sink.

Behind the stage is a row of booths with 5 stalls, with partial small doors on each. The price for VIP dance is $20, and it is $200 to get a room for 1/2 hour. Signs on the wall say: 1) Madison law prohibits physical contact with dancers; and 2) tipping is appreciated but must be given by hand only.

Only 2 (white) dancers were there when I arrived, and were just sitting at the bar, plus 2 customers, 1 bartender, and 2 "Security" personnel. One dancer was getting a long backrub from a guy with a Security shirt. Music was turned on 6:20 and at 6:30 one dancer got up on stage. Over the total of 2 hours, more dancers came including some AA, 1 more white; and up to 4 or 5 customers. Dancer attractiveness was fairly good, about a 7.
