afternoon Tattletales visit
I had never really heard anything that made me want to visit TattleTales in the past, however, I was nearby and thought I should stop by and see what it is like. I tend to visit clubs during the slower afternoon hours just as a personal preference, so it may not be the club's A-team in attendance, but it is generally lower hustle. At this time of day it wasn't too crowded -- maybe 10 total customers. Good ratio of dancers to patrons...
TT is conveniently located in the parking lot of a grocery store - not great if you have any expectation of privacy when entering or leaving the club. I don't really care, but I might if I lived closer! The bar is a standard long shoebox with a rectangular bar surrounding two stages with two poles. Dancers did two song sets, one on each stage. At this time of day only one dancer was up at a time, but there was always someone dancing, which is better than some of the other clubs I frequent. The tipping was mostly done in a tip parade outside the bar after each dancers set which at least gives you a chance to meet each dancer.
Happy hour starts at 5pm so I was too early, but beers were still under $5. Unfortunately smoking is still allowed here and almost everyone there -- dancers and customers took advantage of the fact. For a near empty bar it smelled pretty smoky. (not as bad as the old ballpark of course!)
