Bachelor Party loved the private dances and space to congregate; not so much the stage shows or table dances
My bachelor party enjoyed C.D. after we couldn't wait in line for Chez Paree on a Saturday night at 10pm. It was a party atmosphere with beautiful, somewhat enhanced women streaming up and down the aisle by the bar the entire night and we didn't regret dropping CAD on private dances, though the stage shows left a lot to be desired.
I had swung by Club Downtown a few nights prior while scoping out clubs in Montreal and took a card from a particularly pleasant doorman who offered to let me see the women working upstairs. That Thursday they have a $5 cover. That Saturday was the same. Canadian dollars, obviously, so entrance would cost less than my coffee back in the U.S. The door guy told me Thursday that if I got there with the twelve of us before 10:30 they'd likely be able to sit us together on the floor; after that we'd have to V.I.P. a table.
He was good to his word. We lined up and I gave the booth girl $60 (added it to the running tab) and we got seated. There were small, rounded tables lining the main room with the stage; VIP closer to the stage and around behind it. We couldn't really see much stage action so we focused on the women walking by. At least 60 were working, mostly white, a few Latina, Black, and Asian. We bought beer by the bucket at prices that seemed fair at the time.
