Language Barrier, but no Culture Shock
I visited this place on a Tuesday afternoon. The first thing you notice is it is located in a small strip mall (no pun intended) between two other businesses along a main road. I guess zoning laws are different up here. I asked was whether they take American money, and they said they do. At the bar they post the conversion ratio, don't know if or how often they change it, that day $1 US = $1.30 Canadian. Cover was (quoting here) "whatever you want to pay" so I gave the guy (he seemed pleasant enough) $5 Canadian.
The next thing you notice is this place is full of tables. Little cafe/bistro type tables, four seats to a table. So many tables that if the seats were all actually occupied nobody would be able to move. They need to remove at least half the tables. It's probably a fire hazard.
Anyway. You walk in and on the right beyond the tables there is a disproportionately large stage. Big enough for two girls if the situation calls for it. Beyond the stage there are more tables and then the bar. Four TVs tuned to sports in the corners of the room. There is also an elevated (by one or two steps) area to the left with arcade games, more little tables, and then finally private booths.
