Saturdays are Fun, too.
Recently had a chance to try out Sweet Illusions on a Saturday afternoon, my 1st weekend visit; previous visits (& reviews) have been weekday afternoons.
Venue: Can’t miss it going east on the main drag out of downtown, once you start around a curve and see the pink and purple building with stripper silhouette signs you’re there. Half their ample, free parking is around back, mostly out of sight of traffic. Entrance is on north side of building, outside dancer smoking area just right of door. Inside you’ll find a working class, not quite a dive ambiance, but the place feels safe enough, haven’t dealt with a rude or unfriendly person yet in several visits. No cover charge.
Standing in the middle of the space, looking east is an elevated stage, square, 4 chairs on a side; behind it the east wall is mirrored. South wall has (L to R) dancer’s dressing room, lap dance room (beaded curtain, padded bench seating, max capacity 6 couples), men’s room (so-so, but serviceable), and ladies’ room. West end of building has couple of VIP booths (opaque curtains), and another door out. North wall has the bar, door you came in, and DJ, dancer staging area (for under 21) in corner. Lighting and music volume are moderate; I dislike too loud or too dark.
