LD in DC!

My business dinner in the city ended at a reasonable hour, and I was nursing a nice buzz, so I decided to stop into Archibald's for a drink before heading home to the suburbs. It had probably been about 8 years since I last stopped into Archibald's. It's basically a row-house type building, stuck between many mid-rise office buildings on K Street in DC. The last time I was here, there was a Fast Eddie's pool hall either on the top level or bottom level, with the other 2 levels occupied by the club. Now it appeared the club was on all 3 levels. Being a Tuesday night, the lower level was closed, and the main action was on the middle level.

It's a long, narrow room with a bar along one side, 2 stages w/ poles (I think) on the other side of the room, and chairs and couches all around. At the front of the main room, there is an elevated area with more seating, possibly another stage, and the DJ Booth. I heard the DJ's voice introducing dancers and drink specials in a sexy female British accent. Turns out it was all pre-programmed.

Anyway, I watched a few girls dance on the stage closer to the entrance, and grabbed a seat on a couch near the stage. The girls did strip down to nude by the 2nd or 3rd song. There were a wide variety of races and body types. After a while, one of the girls who was on stage sat down next to me, and we started chatting. And of course, a waitress showed up out of nowhere and asked if I wanted to buy the lady a drink. Two tequila shots cost me close to $40 with tip.
