Thursday at the Rio

Was in town for some business and thought I should check in at the Rio. It had been a year since I had been there and was curious if things had changed. I had read up on some of the reviews and it looked like there was a crack down of some sort since I had been there. I found it to be a little tamer than I remembered but still worth the visit.

If you've been there before things haven't changed. You walk in and the bouncer is three to collect money. Behind him is the "vip" area which is basically a room thats open but not monitored very closely. besides that is a long halway with chairs and benches that serves as the lap dance area. The main room has a main stage and two satellite stages that are hardly ever used in my visits. The bar is in a raised area off to the side of the stage.

There wasn't a lot of customers during my visit. It was me and about three others who looked like regulars, it was before 10 so still kinda early. Plenty of girls to go around and they quality had improved from what I remember. Girls would come to the main stage and do their set. Most would follow the age old sequence of waiting till the last song to show the boobs. Tipping stage action varied depending on the girl. Some would just say thank you and others would let the dollar pay for a quick squeeze here and there or a flash. Wasn't a whole lot of tippers during my visit so it's quite easy to get attention if you are in a generous mood.
