Great first weekend trip

This was my first time to HK and Tijuana. I flew into San Diego and Uber to a hotel in Chulo Vista where I plannned to spend Sunday night. I needed to work on Monday and was unsure of WiFi at HK and didn’t want to carry my work laptop into tj. I left one bag at that hotel and then took another Uber to the pedwest crossing. I have global entry but they still wanted to stamp my passport book on the way into Mexico. I walked across the bridges and took an orange and white taxi(regulated ones) to HK.

I bought the vip card since I’d booked a jr suite. Between that 20% off ($31), 2 free drinks($4 each) and one discounted lap dance($11), I basically broke even. However, I could have used the coupons on the website for most of that. I’ll be going back, so the vip card will pay off later.

After checking into the hotel and hiding some cash, I headed down to HK. First mesero got me a table and drink (Pavel). I mentioned it was my first time. Apparently that triggered him to bring over another mesero whom offered a tour of the club. Good to get a feel of the club and tipped him $2. Unfortunately he hung around afterward telling me he knew which girls would take care of me. After I met and was going up with the first of my ladies, he told me I owed him $20. I laughed, told him he did nothing, but gave him another $2 as I wasn’t yet comfortable with the process. So learning to handle the meseros was the biggest adjustment...but even mistakes aren’t that expensive there. I did all the hunting and vetting on my own from there out.
