Now renamed The Venue, might be improving/one to watch

I was across the street at Club 205, and realized I hadn't been to Mystic since the change of name, and I presume, ownership. Walking in, not much has changed. Same layout, one largish center stage right when you walk in and a bunch of other smaller ones, none of which were in use when I was there, in the early evening on a Sunday. I saw at least 3-4 dancers hanging out with PL's or sitting at the bar. A couple of AA girls and a few white ones. I grabbed a drink, which was cheap and strong, and took a seat at one of the high top tables just back from the bar. A few other girls came out from the back and a few were arriving for the shift change. Overall, a slight improvement over the quality of girls I was used to seeing at this place. The menu has changed since the Mystic days. I didn't get anything to eat, but the options are much more limited.

One of the very pretty AA dancers approached me and took a seat. We chatted a bit and she was able to confirm that this is still a frequent hangout for local bikers, which I've noticed before, but this particular evening, they weren't around. It has never bothered me, but it isn't uncommon to find a sizable group of them hanging out at this place sometimes. I hung out and caught a few rounds of this girl at the stage, and did confirm that the PD prices are the same, $40 for nude, and 3/$100. Thought about it but decided to pass. The PD area seems to be the same, at the back of the club and fairly private, but with cameras. I've had good dances here in the past, but all very by the book.

I will be back in the near future. The vibe of the place has improved, I think, and it is worth another look. There are fewer and fewer places on the east side that catch my interest, but this one might be worth watching.
