No Satisfaction

Every few months I check out the Gold Club hoping to find something different and every time I end up disappointed. This is probably by far the nicest club currently in Memphis and busiest as well. It has a well lit parking lot and decent security. Cover is only $10 but does not include any drink tickets. As with most other clubs in Memphis they sell only beer but you can bring in your own bottles for a fee. As you walk in there's an elevated area to the left with a bunch of couches, which is the lap dance area. Dances are $30-40 per song with the occasional 2 for 1.

They used to have a 4 for a hundred deal but I'm not sure if that's around any more. Along the right side of the building are several booths that are the vip rooms. These are around $150 fit for 15 minutes and then on up for more time. Most have a curtain that is not completely opaque but a couple do have complete privacy and those are more expensive. Beer prices are decent, 4.50 per bottle I think. And, the quality of girls is probably mostly 6 and 7s with an occasional 8 or 9.

The major problem with this club is that it has a large community of regulars that congregate in an area near the back of the club with a bunch of liquor. And, most of the upper level girls just hang out back there and drink. They rarely make rounds or talk to other customers. They will do their turn on stage and then head directly back to the back again. So, good luck with getting any dances from them unless you can somehow infiltrate the group. So, as usual I stayed and had my requisite 3 beers and left, telling myself that I'll never go back. But, inevitably I'm doomed to repeat my same mistakes again.
