Decent Place On Soi Cowboy

I recently made a stop in Bangkok during my travels. I spent a couple nights exploring Soi Cowboy. For those that don't know Soi Cowboy is a red light district in Bangkok. Its a single street with a bunch of clubs lining both sides of the street. The clubs are full of girls on stage but they don't really perform like dancers in the US. The girls are just trying to get your attention so that you will buy them a drink (which they get a cut of) and then pay the bar to take them out.

If you decide to take a girl out you pay the bar and then pay her for her service. Because the girls are just hoping to get bar fined they don't really give much effort on stage. The vast majority of the girls at most of the clubs just sort of shuffle back and forth trying to catch someone's eye in the crowd. The entertainment value of watching these girls on stage is pretty limited.

Tilac is slightly above the average for Soi Cowboy but it has its limits. I liked Tilac because it was way less crowded than Baccarra or Crazy House. The girls actually danced at Tilac as well. The service for beverages was decent and they kept the beers coming. One nice touch is the window at head level in the bathroom. This allows you to take a leak without taking your eyes off the stage.
