Hopes Dashed

So there are new owners of this club, Obsessions, formerly Club 31. Things have seemingly changed but apparently not for the better. Outside of the building has been entirely redone, inside flat screen TVs have been added but that is about it for improvements. I stopped in December 23rd around 3:30. Two or three regulars at the bar. No dancers. I ordered a beer. No dancers. I finished the beer, no dancers and I left. I stopped back in on December 30th around 5 o'clock. There had been a light snowfall and the lot had already been plowed.

Owners spending the money...maybe I would be surprised this week. Bartender was talking to a woman and a customer. After a few minutes, she came over and served a beer. No dancers. A customer finished his beer, went outside and came back a few minutes later and sat back down at the bar. Bartender was busy talking to the woman and customer and after several minutes, the guy picked up his money and left. The woman the bartender was talking to went in the back and turned out to be a dancer.

She immediately went back to the bartender and the other customer to continue the conversation. I got up and left. This joint does not open until 2pm and you would think several hours after opening SOMEONE would be on the stage or doing a dollar parade. A tip to the owners: It's supposed to be a bar with entertainment! If a customer just wanted a beer they can go to any other place and talk to other patrons instead of being ignored.No dancers, no customers, no customers, no dancers will want to work there. Death spiral.
