Afternoon Delights
Usually visit on a weekday, and early afternoon. There is always ample street parking across from a Dunkin. Metered by the hour, cash or charge card. Torpedo’s is about a block and a half away.
Walking in you see a large rectangular bar with one stage and two poles that seats approximately 30 patrons. On your left are two or three steps up to a level where there is some bar seating but there are the restrooms and a couple of pool tables. The bar has a few scattered television screens. Domestic beers run about five dollars. Never bothered with a mixed drink. Bartenders are fairly attentive, but I always make sure to tip them with every drink. Dancers are primarily from South America with varying degrees of English and take the stage around 12:30 or 1 PM. I go weekdays as there are fewer customers and more likely will get a hit on a dancer.
I have found that if you do multiple lap dances with the same dancer that word gets around. So if you show up on that dancers off day, there are always a couple of other dancers who will approach you. I am always very polite and during a dance will attempt to give as much pleasure as I get. Dancers seem to appreciate this but YMMV depending how adept you are. Lap dances are timed (3-4min? For $20)and monitored by a manager but are still very private. There are about eight dancers on the 12-5 shift.
Some will absolutely ignore you so you have to chat some up on the dollar parade to see their language skills and ability to have a conversation rather than sitting next to you on their phones before asking if you want a dance. Lap dances are still $20 and VIP is $160. I’d get an escort before I’d do VIP. They offer food (never partaken) and the usual party on a dancer’s birthday. I usually get two or three dances. That plus a beer or two and the parade run about $80.
Be patient. It’s worth the effort.
