Once a fave, now not so much
I used to go to this place pretty regularly, a few times a month maybe. There was one dancer who just completely was my kind of thing, but I liked the whole place. The staff warmed up to you pretty quickly, after maybe two visits while there are some clubs in Miami where you will never pass whatever test they have. The dancers included some gals I didn't give a second glance but always some gals that I thought were either banging or who had the kind of personality to where they quickly overcame whatever physical deficits they might have had. Drinks were not stupidly expensive and contained real alcohol.
Another thing about this club is that it is in a pretty good neighborhood. Lots of restaurants and bars and stores and so on. This is not stuck in the middle of some industrial wasteland or anything. You can go in, hang out, wander out around the neighborhood for a bit and get something to eat or whatever, go back. From this perspective, I just wish it opened earlier because I would like to go during the afternoon.
Anyway, I went back for the first time in a couple of years the other day. The club is pretty much the way I remember it. But maybe I hit the place on a bad day. The staff were seriously rude and some of them seemed aggressive. And I'm about as harmless a guy as they come. No dancers on stage for 45 minutes or an hour after they opened. Dancer comes out, does one song -- maybe two? -- and goes back into the dressing room. I liked what I saw and I would have been happy to maker her happy for a bit of company but she obviously didn't seem interested in that. I couldn't find any gin in my gin and tonic. Waited a while more. Two other dancers emerged and promptly sat down with what seemed like regulars. I left and had an excellent burger a few blocks away, headed home. Maybe just an off night, but it was pretty bad.
