For two years I had been looking for an opportunity to visit Shakers, about which I had heard nice things. Sorry to say, I was disappointed, based on the one hour I was there. I would have stayed longer if it had been more fun. True, things might have picked up later in the evenng but you have to judge a place on what you actually experience, right?

On highway 61, watch closely for the small road sign which says Zwingle/LaMotte. Drive one mile east and park. Walk through a well-lighted dirt/gravel parking lot (rather muddy during a rainstorm). Bring your own canned beer with you. Pay a $10 cover in a little hut outside the door. Once inside, you see a large rectangular stage surrounded by chairs in the middle of the room. (the stage another reviewer alluded to was either inactive or removed while I was there.) Additional seating away from the stage. All lap dances are done in a separate area, and I don't think there's any chance of extras at all, because everybody can see everything everybody else is doing all the time -- the lap dance area was pretty depressing. The dances are $20 a pop and before 9 they are all two-for-one. Songs are about 3 minutes long. My dancer was Jackie. She talked a good game out in the big room but her lap dance was mostly air -- no grinding, no exploring of private areas (but playing with the tits was OK).

This is a nude club but the girls have some discretion. One was stripped naked within 20 seconds and couldn't wait to show off her pussy close-up. Another never even took off her skivvies. The rest were in-between. All the girls were polite and friendly, nobody was overly pushy or rude.

Most of the girls were real cute, and no dogs at all. No fatties. Stage dances were OK but not very imaginative.
