Where the white women at?
Let me start with I never liked Fuego. There is a reason why I came here rather than there. For these reasons I'm now writing this place off. This is now without question a Latin club. I'd say some 80% or more of the dancers are Latina and came over from Fuego. Half of those really don't speak much English. Not sure if they're just bitchy and cold, or just can't communicate, but what the point of asking to give some company if you're going to park your ass on my lap just to stare at your phone 10 minutes before asking if I want a dance? Even if I wanted one when you first sat down, you've pissed me off so much I don't want one now.
So other things that have changed....the parking lot is always full....not because of customers, but because every girl that came from fuegos seems to come in all the time. I have come in during the week, found the lot full, walked in to find five customers and 20 dancers. The cover has been jacked up to $30. Talked to the guy at the window, and he said is they're trying to chase some of the rif-raf away. As a regular, he still charged me $20. They also now wave a metal detector wand over people as they go in (oddly, they just waved me in.. guess I'm not intimidating). In the many years I've been going, they've never had to do this. Hint, if suddenly you need to take such measures to keep out an undesirable element, you should take a look at what you did to attract this element. Did it pay off? Nope. Spoke to the few dancers that have been there a while, they all agreed the club is going to shit (as one said, if you don't want a ghetto crowd, don't run a ghetto club). Most of the dancers that were here before have already quit. A few are still hanging in, but most I spoke to said they don't know for how much longer. Furthermore, I was there this past Friday, just past midnight. Not nearly as packed as it used to be on a Friday. Used to be standing room only on a Friday night. This past Friday night, even with some 8 to 10 dancers sitting in the seats up against the wall, there were still open seats. VIP rooms were empty, and not even that many public dances being taken. Doesn't sound like the changes I are helping the bottom line.Toe honest, this is the first time I left without a dance. Normally I spend between $200 and $300 per visit. This past Friday, even thought I had $400 in my pocket, I spent a total of $20 that night (the cost of the cover).
So things don't bode well. The county shut down Fuegos for a reason. If they want to become what Fuegos was, I'm guessing the county will be on Showcase soon. Needless to say, I don't see myself going back any time soon anyway.
