A surprisingly good time at Cheerleaders...
I visited Cheerleaders around 9:30 pm on a Wednesday. The club is in a convenient location, very close to routes 130, 295, and 76, and not far from the Turnpike. There's plenty of available parking and a moderate amount of privacy in the parking lot, despite the fact that the club is located on a busy street. Upon entry, the bouncer asked me for my ID, which I actually found somewhat flattering (I haven't been carded in a while) and charged me $5 for the cover. I then moseyed over to the bar to settle in and watch the show. A friendly and attentive bartender came over to take my order; my non-alcoholic beverage cost $3.50. This club does serve alcohol so there is no nudity allowed on stage. (This is the standard rule in suburban Jersey. If you want nudity or even just toplessness in the Garden State, you need to find yourself a juice bar.) The dancers here skewed young, especially compared to, say, the crew at the Playhouse Lounge. Also, for some reason, most of the girls at Cheerleaders seemed to be on the thin side, lacking both boobs and booty. Sadly, during the time I was there, I don't think I saw even one set of D cups in the entire place. This is especially strange since they're located close to Camden and Philly, where big round asses, at least, are quite popular. Skinny, flat-chested chicks aren't really my thing, but I was feeling lazy and I wasn't about to leave. Besides, some of the girls were still pretty despite their lack of fun-bags.
Floor to ceiling mirrors make this place look bigger than it really is. The stage takes up most of the floor space, although there is a cozy little area off to the side where you can chat with a girl away from the bar. There's also a downstairs level divided into two rooms, one for couch dances and one for private dances. Overall, the place seemed very clean and organized. Even the mensroom was fairly clean; it was more like a restroom in a Wawa or a Quik Chek than what I've come to expect from a bathroom in a strip club. The overall layout and vibe was very similar to the nearby Club Champagne, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were both owned by the same people.
Couch dances cost $25, but they were running a special 2-for-$30 sale (I think they do this every Wednesday but I could be wrong). Private dances cost $125 for 15 minutes. One very annoying thing about this place is that the dollar parade can be very aggressive. Girls coming down from the stage will approach and ask you for a tip even if you're sitting and talking to another girl at the time! They don't seem to care if they interrupt you, and if you only tip a dollar, they will often openly ask for another dollar! Having never been here before, I can't say for sure whether they act like this all the time or if they were just extra aggressive on this particular evening to make up for the lost revenue caused by the 2-for-$30 sale (assuming that some of the price reduction comes from their end). Anyway, after a few couch dances with a very thin girl whose name began with an 'S', I agreed to a private dance.
I gave this club high marks for Vibe and Value because it seems that anything can be had here for the right tip, judging by the menu of very fun and very risky behaviors that were offered to me during my time there; and also because it was surprisingly clean, organized, and well-maintained. My one suggestion would be for them to hire at least some bigger/curvier women. I think two or three big-booty white girls in g-strings would be a welcome addition to any rotation, but other than that, this place is a winner and I will return.
