I was staying in Corpus Christi, and this was the closest strip club to my hotel. Since it has not been reviewed in two years, I was going to see whether it was still open or not. I went on a Saturday night at 21:30. The north side of Corpus Christi seems to be the rougher side of town. The building is not much to look at from the outside, and the parking lot is gravel. The sign that says Party Place Cabaret along Leopard Street is almost completely faded away. There was a $7 cover at the door, which seemed pricey for a dive bar. There are three pool tables when you first enter, then a bar on the back wall straight ahead. It is a low bar with chairs instead of stools. A bottle of beer was $4.25. Across from the bar on the front wall is a stage with a center pole. The stage is only about a foot off the ground. The third of the club furthest from the entrance is an elevated area with a wrap-around couch. I’d assume this is where lap dances take place, with virtually no privacy from the rest of the club.

When I arrived there were only three other customers and one dancer. The stage was vacant until 22:00. At that point, two dancers started a rotation doing three song sets on the stage. There might have been a third dancer in the locker room, but I took off after an hour and never saw her come to the stage. Both of the dancers I observed were thick and not my type. Juicy is a fat Hispanic dancer with facial piercings. She was a 2. Kacey was a thick African-American dancer with D cup tits, but her stomach was fucked up from childbirth. She was a 3. Mileage at the stage was off the charts. The dancers would work hard for a dollar. Guys were rubbing their fingers on the dancers pussies at the stage, and no one cared. I’m sure lap dances would’ve been full contact too, but the talent was too ugly for my tastes.

On the wall, there was a banner advertising Party Place’s 20th anniversary party on February 22, 2014. This dive strip club has been in business for twenty-three years, but I don’t understand how they’ve been able to stay financially solvent, when there were only eight or nine customers at 22:30 on a Saturday night and only three below average dancers. Party Place Cabaret seems like it would be a good place for a raincoater, but if one wants good-looking dancers in a good-looking club, there are better options in Corpus Christi.
