I went to Super Tuesday at Jaguars. This is an event they throw the first Tuesday of every month, where VIP is $5, cover is $5, and table dances are $5. According to the dancers I talked to, the reduced prices bring in crowds bigger than the ones on the weekends. The cover charge is usually $20, and the VIP bracelet is usually $15.
I showed up at 17:30 and parked in the lot. Apparently anywhere close to the building was reserved for valet, so I was told I had to move my vehicle to the back of the lot or pay to park. As previously mentioned, cover was $5 for Super Tuesday. This is cheap because the club is BYOB. If you are bringing in a large quantity of beer, they will make you buy a tub of ice. If you are bringing in bottles of hard liquor, you are not allowed to bring in the mixers. All sodas, juices, and ice must be bought from the club. I brought in tallboys of Natural Ice from the Valero, and the waiters did not bother me. All of the servers are male, which I have never encountered before in a strip club with the exception of strip clubs in Spanish-speaking countries. All of the staff members were very friendly like all of the people in The Valley. I did get a cup of Coca-Cola later in the night for a whopping $7. It came in a Red Solo cup.
The main stage had two poles. There are also two smaller side stages with one pole each. At the back of the main stage is Old Sparky: a large chair with straps on it made to look like an electric chair. I’m assuming it is used for bachelor parties. Any tables in the first ring around the stage required a $40 fee to sit at. For a club owned by Rick’s Cabaret International, I was surprised to find the physical condition of the interior in such disrepair. Some of the tables were shaky. Chairs were extremely worn and some had large holes in the fabric. Two big projection screens are on either side of the main stage, so this would be a decent place to watch a fight or game. There is a vending machine that sells candy, but food is not otherwise served. No jerseys or backwards ball caps are allowed inside. Cowboy hats were obviously okay with the rodeo going on just down the highway. Smoking is allowed inside the club. The music was so loud that I wished I brought ear plugs.
