The Club Formerly Known As Rick's. . .

. . . is a cozy-feeling place which has two smallish stages on the main floor (both with poles) and a dozen or so tables in between, with extra seating at a bar that offered good views of both stages and an elevated area which I assumed was VIP territory. It was on the dark side, which I was told was typical for busy times; apparently during slower periods it's much brighter, but they aim some of the lights at the ceiling during peak periods. The place was only moderately busy when I arrived around 11:30 p.m. and really thinned out when the regulars started leaving around 1 a.m. I was told that this was unusual, and considering that they had dancers in sufficient number to handle a much bigger crowd (when I left around 1:15 there were probably as many dancers as customers), I'd believe it.

Of course, the plus side of that is that I had no shortage of attention during the time I was there and got to sit and chat with several dancers. The first, a shorter, somewhat stockier Latina woman, was a bit out of my normal strike zone but so good at getting physically friendly that I agreed to a private LD as fast as I ever have before. I wasn't disappointed, either. At the end of my stay I also got a fine private LD from a tall, skinny blonde I'd had my eye on the whole time. Both encouraged being hands-on during the dances, but I don't know if that was just them or club policy. Overall the dancer quality wasn't anything exceptional, with a couple of girls that would be 8s by my standards (the aforementioned blonde and a petite black girl) and most of the rest in the 6 range, but there were also a couple of smokin' hot waitresses to gawk at. (If you're old enough to remember Daisy Duke, they dressed like that.) They did have somewhat limited food service, but I had already eaten by the time I got there.

Overall, I left feeling satisfied enough with the experience that I'll definitely be going back.
