Great club; beautiful dancers; not very friendly

My buddy and I had an hour or so before the start of the Orange Bowl so we went to Tootsie's for a drink and a look. I'd been there several years ago and couldn't remember why I hadn't been back. After an hour at the club, I remembered why. But first the good news. The club is easy to find and has lots of parking. Admission was free in the afternoon. Tootsie's is enormous - probably the largest club I've ever been in. The main room has a large stage with dancers changing every two or three songs, fully nude and then circulating along the rail in front of the stage for tips during the first song of the next dancer, But after that - nothing. We tipped the dancers and were seated near the stage but in over an hour at the club, not one dancer asked us if we wanted a lap dance. None of the dancers circulated the room after they were on stage, They seemed to disappear or sit with other dancers at tables on the far side of the club. And then I remembered the same thing happened to me when I went there a few years ago. My buddy, who lives near Tampa, and has been to many clubs, was astonished. We didn't have time to hunt down a dancer and ask what was up - so we just headed to the game.

So - in conclusion, I recommend Tootsie's for various reasons - beautiful dancers, 1/2 price beers at happy hour, easy parking, etc. But I don't know why the dancers didn't approach us. We may be 60+ but we're not dead, I believe we don't smell and I know we had money. What gives? I'm curious about other people's experiences at Tootsie's. Perhaps YMMV.
