After my failed attempt to visit...
After my failed attempt to visit Rachel's I stopped in to check out Scores. I haven't been here in years, and someone definitely spent a lot of $ on renovating the building since it's Wild West days. The physical club environment now is actually quite well done, with lots of comfortable, empty seats. However, this is a business model I can't quite figure out. At 9 pm on a Thursday night, when there was an NFL, NBA, college football, and college basketball games on, there were never more than 5 customers in a strip club that bills itself as a sports bar. Hopefully business picks up on weekends or I can't see how this place will be around for long. Dancers were average at best. I sat through the standard 3-song rotation for 4 dancers, and I believe that was all who were on shift. I was never approached by any dancers, which was ok since there were none that I wanted to invest in. Not a bad experience, just kind of boring. I did not venture upstairs, so I can't report in the VIP situation. Waitress was cute but inattentive, which is kind of inexcusable since I may have been her only table. I'd love to see this place find some fresh young talent and start to draw crowds with a little enthusiasm. It would be a great venue to take in sporting events and live up to its name. But for now it's just not happening.
