it's slipping

Was in town for the week, and stopped by here every night M-Th. This has always been my place to go on LI, but it has seen its better days. The whole feel of the place is a step down from where it was a couple of years ago. I will still go there, but some nights are definitely hits and some definitely misses.

When you first walk in, you are in a room with a long bar right in front of you. There are always 1 or 2 girls dancing behind the bar. There had been a small couch and 3 small tables in this room, but they are gone now. They had been very nice to use to talk to the girls, etc. - especially if there was someone dancing at the bar that I had no desire to tip! I was told the tables were taken out because the owner thought too many of the girls were just sitting around there. When they took out the couch, they moved the cigarette machine from the back to fill in the space - the bright lights of the machine look totally out of place.

The quality of the dancers has really taken a hit over the past year or so. There used to be a very nice mix - locals/imports, white/black/Asian/European/Latina, short/tall, big/small, natural/plastic. Now, most of the Europeans & Asians are gone. The locals are ok, but no stunners. However, there are a couple of the Latinas that absolutely drop-dead gorgeous.
