Saw a couple reviews. The big problem in Rockford (and it's not only here - it's all over the area from what I understand, including the clubs in Southern Wisconsin) is the lack of quality dancers. Because of the lack of quality dancers; the number of guys going to the clubs is also down. That means the ladies don't make as much money and you can't get new dancers to stay. It's a vicious circle at this point. Then (as has been mentioned); the women who are dancing will lock onto a regular if he wanders in and that means effectively while that dancer is there for the night, she's not really available. Maybe they have 10 dancers on... of this there are probably 2 or 3 who frankly should not be dancers. That leaves 7 or 8 a typical guy will probably be care about; if 3 or 4 of these are with regulars and there are a couple on stage (and at least one out smoking) there are no dancers circulating through the crowd. I heard they recently changed the manager - maybe he can get the dancers to circulate more; but no one seems to care that there are guys in the club (maybe with money) that no dancer ever talks with for an entire night. There are a lot of travelers (with all the hotels) and if they ever talk to guys they work with about what there is to do in Rockford; are they going to recommend the place? On the plus side; there are some good looking dancers here. One just transferred over from State Street; you'll know here when you see her. Sometimes on Sunday night they will have a couple of the State Street dancers over here (since State Street is closed on Sunday). A lot of body ink on the dancers, if that's your thing (I don't mind if it's done well - on some of the dancers it is, on some... well you'll see). The dances are not cheap, but as good as can be expected in a bikini bar. Probably better at State Street; but better here than at Big Foot. One of the issues with all Rockford places is they nickel and dime you. It's a small cover to get in and no real drink specials; so to get in, with the cover and buy a Light beer - you've spent $10 (with tip to the waitress or bartender). To go down into the VIP it's another $10 and if you buy the dancer a drink it's $10 (with the tip). You've spent $30 and haven't done anything yet. It's real easy to spend $50 or $60 (if you have a couple beers and tip some ladies on stage) and not even go into the VIP Room. I don't know how they expect to get regulars if it's $50 to just have an average night and if you want to have any fun plan on spending at least $150. It's Rockford and though the economy is better, this is still not a boomtown. I know some of this might seem contradictory - saying they overcharge and yet I want the club to be better, which would cost more money. I think it's more a case of if you spend the money and enjoy yourself that's one thing; a lot of what happens here is you spend the money and you think to yourself there had to be a better way to have allocated those funds. Anyone who came to these clubs even as little as 3 to 4 years ago will notice a difference. I just don’t understand how at one time this town supported a half dozen clubs (with considerably more dancers at each club) and now it looks like they can’t support three.
