And when you wrote that she finally agreed on 4/100, I thought oh boy, that's going to end up as 3 songs for sure, which is exactly what you went on to write as probably happening. (When I agree to 5/100, I almost always think they short me a song, which ends up then being the "standard" $25/song because, like you indicated, it's often difficult to keep track of the songs.). If the above is the "new normal" for CB, it will lose its attraction for many of us.

Your friend had the "correct" rate of 5 for $100. You were overcharged at $30/dance or 4-4-100. It should be $25/dance.

In general, that seems to be more and more common. That’s why a « trial dance » before committing to a 5-4-100 package is becoming a necessary precaution.

Cover charge on a Monday afternoon?! Must have been very late afternoon. "Gringo price of 3/100" -- never, ever experienced anything like that, and I've been there on Monday afternoons (and F, S, S, & T afternoons) numerous times.
