Good Place to Start a Bachelor Party

Our group was hitting Montreal for a bachelor party, and the groom-to-be had yet to experience the city. There was a bit of a debate amongst our group about whether or not we should hit Club Super Sexe to give the real "first time Montreal" experience that most of us had when we were younger men, or skip over what is conventionally thought to be one of the more tourist trappy clubs.

While we never exactly reached a consensus in our very formal debate, a moment of indecision downtown after dinner put us right at Super Sexe's door, and up we went. For full disclosure, I was on the side of skipping Super Sexe to hit up Downtown or Chez Paree, where I've had some more memorable experiences. So I was going in with a little bit of a panty-twist - and even so, I found myself pleasantly surprised by the Super Sexe atmosphere. The club is a little larger and a little less crowded than some of the other Montreal offerings, and the stage shows that we took in that night were a good variety of very attractive dancers. Where Super Sexe falls off a little is in the bang-for-your buck range, with dances costing $20 and being on the whole a little less rowdy than you can find elsewhere in this great city. To get things going earlier on in the evening though, when people weren't entirely uninhibited by alcohol or into the swing of things yet, it was a great kickstart.

On the whole I'd say that Super Sexe isn't undeserving of its reputation as a tourist spot, but for first timers or as a spot to start the night, it's definitely worth checking out.
